These types of deal allow you to reduce the real cost of your mortgage by having savings accounts with the mortgage lender.  You will not receive any interest on your savings but you will not pay any interest on the mortgage up to the level of your savings.

 

For example if you have a £100,000 mortgage and have £10,000 in savings then you will only be charged interest on £90,000 of your mortgage.
